Choose the activity best suited to your group
Itsasmuseum organises educational activities aimed at various groups of visitors such as associations, leisure time clubs and summer camps to teach them about our maritime heritage in a fun, participative way.
Various combinations are available, so each group can decide what type of tour they want and how long it should last. Please book in advance.
Guided tours
Guided tours take in the permanent exhibition, with the option of also visiting any temporary exhibitions that may be on at the time.
Guided tour in the form of an educational workshop
Museum tours can be arranged via activities tailored to the age and needs of each group of visitors.
“See Bilbao from the river”
This group activity is available from April to October.
It offers visitors the chance to combine a guided tour of the museum and outdoor sports, with a choice of a trip along the river by canoe or SUP (stand-up-paddle) or along its banks by bike.
Summer workshops
In late June and throughout July, maritime workshops are available for groups of children aged 4 to 12 (associations, summer camps, leisure time clubs, etc.).
Non-guided tours
Groups may also make non-guided tours. Please book in advance.

Thanks to the joint efforts of the museum and the Social Welfare Division of the La Caixa bank, some activities are free of charge for persons with physical or cognitive disabilities and for those at risk of social exclusion.
* Audio-guides compatible with all mobile phone operating systems are available to visitors free of charge.

Duration: 1.5-2 hours

Price: €3 / per person for non-guided tours and and €3.5 for guided tours and workshops).
Group monitors are admitted: free of charge

See Bilbao from the river
An activity designed jointly by Itsasmuseum and Bilbobentura to encourage visitors to enjoy some of the historical and architectural landmarks of Bilbao and see for themselves the huge changes that the city has undergone in recent years, from a different viewpoint. The tour begins at the museum and continues by canoe or SUP (stand-up-paddle) along the river or by bike along the bank.
A guided activity for groups of at least 15 people aged 10 and over who can swim. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Price (including VAT): €13 per person.
