Bilbao 1803

Itsasmuseum Bilbao challenges you to a game of Escape Room, as real-life adventure that puts all your senses to the test. It needs all your creativity, cunning, determination and excellent team coordination.

Are you up for it?

Welcome to 1803

On 15 August, some courageous people from Portugalete accused the ship’s captain of smuggling. An investigation has started, and your help is needed.

Don’t let the captain get away!

It’s the beginning of the 19th century, and the Port of Bilbao is welcoming scores of ships from New England, Newfoundland and Norway full of cod. These trade routes attract continuous flows of people, products and rich cultural exchanges. The Villa is an important trading post that distributes this cod. It also sends goods back to America and to different places in northern Europe.

In this context, we have heard an intriguing rumour from two suspicious local women, claiming that a foreign captain who has long frequented the Port of Bilbao, may be engaging in the crime of smuggling, and transporting cod, as well as less legal merchandise.

Get ready to embark on a mysterious investigation with your team. You will sail the estuary of Bilbao. You will need all your skill to deal with the jurisdictions of the authorities of Portugalete and the Consulate of Bilbao and enter the market of San Anton. If you can solve all the puzzles and overcome all the obstacles, the adventure will end – for better or for worse – in the Port of Portugalete at nightfall.

It’s all up to you!

It’s a real, interactive time-trial search. An immersive time-travelling experience in a world created by museography, music and special effects.

Challenge, research, play and above all, have fun and live an experience in an exciting historical setting
