BBK Euskadi Europa
The sailing boat in which the sailor José Luis Ugarte completed the Vendée Globe regatta in 1993, a single-handed around-the-world sailing regatta without stopovers or assistance. He set sail on 22 November 1993 at Les Sables d’Olonnes (France) and returned to the starting point on 6 April 1994 after four months and having sailed 27,000 nautical miles.
The BBK Euskadi Europa is an aluminium, single-hull, 60-foot long, “open” class racing sailing boat. The boat was designed by Jean Marie Finot and is equipped to be sailed by a crew of one.
